Pinoys advance in digital arts

MANILA, Philippines - Over the years, technology has increased its influence on nearly every aspect of our lives â€” from how we consume the news, to how we choose which restaurants to dine in, and even how we interact with people.

The First Academy of Computer Arts pioneered digital arts education in the Philippines, and through the years, it has helped thousands of inherently talented Filipino artists find their true calling. Its 13 years of experience in the field has allowed the academy consistently reengineer the method of teaching, enough to keep up with the breakneck pace of technological progress. Recently First Academy has enhanced its course list, offering shorter, more targeted courses that are less expensive, and take less time to finish.

Students have the option to learn the basics of digital art, visual graphic design, page design and layout, 3D animation, multimedia and web design, and even digital filmmaking at a reasonable rate and investing several years in a degree that equips students with several expensive but non-essential skills.

The programs are designed for individuals who want to want to create art, have fun, and pursue a career all at the same time. The courses are taught by professional digital artists through practical, hands-on and skills-based training.

First Academy is also helps students find employment after they finish their courses. The school assists them in creating their own portfolios, and sends them job referrals. In-house internships and project-based programs are also made available to students who want to jumpstart their digital arts careers.

First Academy is on thebsecond floor, Saville Building, 8728 Paseo de Roxas Avenue corner Sen. Gil Puyat Avenue, Makati City.
