MANILA,Philippines - 'Tis the season to scare the pants off your friends.

Zombies have always been a staple in every Halloween party. And while creating a zombie costume is as easy as ripping your clothes, looking like a legit one needs a couple of tricks.

For those who want to bring their A game to the most conventional party of the year, here are five things you need to remember when playing zombie for Halloween.

Know your story

First thing that you need to know when dressing up as a zombie is knowing your narrative. How did you die? What were you wearing when you died?

Don't forget the base

The key to make the wounds pop in your costume is to use a good make up base. Use white foundation that is lighter than your skin tone to get the effect.

Wild hair

Make the wounds realistic

Next is you have to focus on making a wound that looks precisely real other than putting too much that just makes the whole get-up a fake.
