Taylor Swift wears Filipino-designed dress in new ‘ME!’ music video

MANILA, Philippines — International pop star Taylor Swift has released the music video of her new single, “ME!,” featuring Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco, on Friday, catapulting her at the top of Twitter’s hottest topics for the day.

Filipino “Swifties” are particularly celebrating Swift’s opening outfit in the video, in which she can be seen wearing a black and white, V-neck tulle dress with flower appliqué designed by Filipino-American designer Monique Lhuillier.

In Swift’s video, the pop star can be seen swinging along a colorful hallway of clouds, wearing the Lhuillier-designed velvet cocktail dress, which costs approximately USD 4,995 or P280,801.92, according to department store Saks Fifth Avenue’s website, which sells the dress.

Swift's video garnered over 18 million views four hours since it was uploaded on YouTube.

Apart from Swift, Lhuillier has dressed Hollywood A-list stars such as Blake Lively, Gwyneth Paltrow, Demi Lovato, Reese Witherspoon, Jennifer Lopez, Emma Stone and Katy Perry. She has also designed for American first ladies Michelle Obama and Melania Trump.

The New York-based designer was a judge at the last Miss Universe competition, where Philippines’ Catriona Gray was hailed as the winner.  — Video from YouTube/Taylor Swift
