Pulp Summer Slam XIV: A day of Metal Mayhem

MANILA, Philippines - The QC Amoranto Stadium was filled with approximately 30,000 metal diehards last April 26, 2014, all armed and ready to be a part of the longest-running and the largest annual metal festival in Southeast Asia: PULP SUMMER SLAM.

Pulp Live World set the stage for seven international acts and seven of the country’s best bands to play in front of thousands. Now on its 14th year, PULP SUMMER SLAM XIV: Children of the Damned was bigger and louder than ever before. PULP SUMMER SLAM XIV featured the best acts from all over the world, including headliners Bullet for My Valentine and Asking Alexandria from the UK and Japanese sensation Crossfaith. The 30,000-strong crowd remained on their feet as midnight approached, as the headlining acts delivered powerful performances. Crossfaith’s electrifying performance surpassed expectations. Kreator’s impressive Slam debut was punctuated with thousands of moshing bodies. This year’s line-up was made even stronger by heavyweights Hatebreed, Death Angel, and The Black Dahlia Murder, all unleashing their brand of metal for all of the QC Amoranto Stadium to hear.

The finest bands in the Philippines made the country proud with their stellar performances. PULP SUMMER SLAM XIV was opened by Galaw Tao’s thunderous performance. Voice of Tranquility stood out, while David vs. Goliath, Embercore, SucketSeven, and Sickpig all gave strong performances. Finally, Tubero capped the night off with fury through an entertaining and wild set that had the crowd leaving Amoranto Stadium with smiles on their faces and satisfied ears.

Expect more mayhem as PULP SUMMER SLAM gets ready to enter its 15th year of bringing world-class metal acts in the country!
