One Natori-ous evening

â€œElegance is the only beauty that never fades.” – Audrey Hepburn

World-renowned Filipina fashion designer Josie Natori recently presented her Fall/Winter 2013 collection with Chinoiserie as inspiration.  The glistening and opulent drama of red and black, together with the richness of other colors such as orange, blue and yellow, made the showcase truly a sight to behold.

Upscale retail giant Rustan Commercial Corp. headed by its president, the indefatigable Zenaida “Nedy” Tantoco along with Rustan’s patriarch Ambassador Bienvenido Tantoco Sr. and HSBC senior vice president and head of retail banking and wealth management Gigi Pio de Roda worked closely with Natori for the benefit show to raise funds for the construction of additional classrooms for the Assumption Transformative School in Passi, Iloilo.

Manila’s A-listers and a plethora of personalities flocked to Buddha-Bar in Makati City to attend the affair and support the cause. Among them were Rustan’s executive vice president Anton Huang, Rustan Commercial Corp. special assistant to the president Mike Huang, Spanish Ambassador Jorge Domecq and wife Rosa, Swiss Ambassador Ivo Sieber, Dutch Ambassador Ton Boon von Ochssée and former Italian ambassador Luca Fornari.

The night ended with a grand raffle draw with three lucky ladies each winning a Josie Natori gift certificate.

For someone who single-handedly elevated lingerie to haute couture, Josie never forgets her roots.

Kudos to Josie Natori, the designer who started it all!
