SEAP Youth Games officially launched

MANILA, Philippines — Philippine Olympic Committee president Abraham Tolentino officially unvieled the 1st Southeast Asian Plus Youth Games yesterday at the Solaire Resort Parañaque that he hopes would fill in the last missing link to the country’s grassroots sports program.

“When I was in Bahrain, I was thinking there’s something missing,” said Tolentino during the executive council meeting attended by most SEA countries as well as Nepal and Chinese Taipei.

“That’s when I thought of putting up this SEA Plus Youth Games, which is bigger than the SEA Games since there’ll be more countries participating,” he added.

Also in attendance was Philippine Sports Commission board member Bong Coo.
