MANILA, Philippines — The Manila city government has administered more than one million vaccines since it started its vaccination rollout against COVID-19 in March, according to Mayor Isko Moreno.
Moreno said that as of 9:04 a.m. yesterday, the city had government administered 1,000,021 vaccines.
Of these, 657,748 received their first dose while 342,273 were fully vaccinated.
Moreno said the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic should be addressed inclusively with the help of the general public.
“Let’s get together in the fight against COVID-19 and in protecting each other,” Moreno said.
He encouraged his constituents and the general public to get inoculated in order to protect themselves from severe infection of the coronavirus.
“We must continue the journey of a better city. Life must go on. Public service must go on. We will not stop,” Moreno said.
