Hospicio asking for donations amid COVID-19 lockdown

MANILA, Philippines — The Hospicio de San Jose Orphanage in Manila is asking for donations after being placed under lockdown due to numerous cases of COVID-19.

According to Radyo Veritas, 14 staff members and four elders tested positive for COVID-19. One of the elders has already passed away.

Currently, the Hospicio de San Jose is not allowed to leave Isla Convalecencia to buy supplies and basic goods.

The institution is asking for in-kind donations, particularly diapers and milk for babies and adults.
