Signal No. 2 up in parts of Cagayan, Isabela as 'Bising' moves over Philippine Sea

MANILA, Philippines — State weather bureau PAGASA on Wednesday raised Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) no. 2 on the eastern parts of Cagayan and Isabela as Typhoon Bising (international name Surigae) continues to move north-northwestward over the Philippine Sea.

At 4 a.m., Bising was located 395 km east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan with maximum winds of 175 kph and gusts of up to 215 kph. It is moving north northwestward at 15 kph.

PAGASA said the tropical cyclone will be nearest to the landmass of Northern Luzon by Wednesday night or Thursday early morning.

Bising is forecast to gradually weaken as it moves away from landmass throughout Thursday to Saturday.

It is expected to exit Philippine Area of Responsibility by Saturday evening or Sunday morning.
