MANILA, Philippines — The Department of the Interior and Local Government recently issued safety measures for those who are set to travel during the Holy Week break.

Malacañang earlier declared Maundy Thursday, April 18, and Good Friday, April 19, as regular non-working holidays. It also announced that Black Saturday, April 20, is a special non-working holiday.

The holidays will fall on a long weekend, hence some Filipinos are expected to travel during the Lenten break.

Here are some reminders to ensure your safety and prevent untoward incidents during the Holy Week:
