Broner won’t pay for soda consumed, bullies clerks
MANILA, Philippines — This time, the eccentric challenger of Filipino world champion Manny Pacquiao had picked on a couple of clerks in a convenience store.
Broner posted the video on his Instagram account, of him having a discussion with two black female clerks over a soda bottle.
Apparently, the 29-year-old Broner was returning a bottle of soda after consuming half of its content, telling the clerks that it tasted “old and spoiled.”
Broner said he was not going to pay for the soda worth a measly $2. The clerks took everything in stride.
But Broner’s followers on Instragram had other things to say.
“Mad disrespectful,” said one.
“I guess losing all your fights made you bitter. You can’t be a bully in the ring so you pick on hardworking people,” said another.
“This is not cool bro! No need to disrespect her (clerk) or yourself like that. Be grateful for what you have and who you are,” was another comment.
Broner has been acting like crazy the past weeks, whether he’s at the airport or the taxi lane.
Two days before Christmas, the former four-division champion was arrested in Florida for failure to show up in court due to a previous case.
Reports said he is also being sued for alleged failure to pay for jewelry amounting to over $1 million.
Broner was released after his most recent arrest, and is back in training.
“I will shock the world,” he said.
