Supreme Court names new Sandiganbayan justices

MANILA, Philippines — Supreme Court Spokesman Theodore Te on Monday named the six new justices of the anti-graft court Sandiganbayan, confirming that the magistrates have taken their oath.

The six new justices will serve the newly formed Sixth Division and Seventh Division of the Sandiganbayan.

Te said new Sixth Division Associate Justices Ma. Theresa Mendoza-Arcega, Zaldy Trespeses and Geraldine Faith Econg took their oath before Chief Justice Maria Lourdes Sereno.

Associate Justices Michael Frederick Musngi, Reynaldo Cruz and Karl Miranda of the Sandiganbayan's Seventh Division, meanwhile, took their oath before Associate Justice Francis Jardeleza.
