NCRPO reinforces security for COC filing

MANILA, Philippines – Regional Director Chief Supt. Joel Pagdilao of the National Capital Region (NCR) Police Office (NCRPO) on Sunday ordered all district directors in Metro Manila to strengthen security operations in the vicinities of Commission on Elections (Comelec) offices for the upcoming filing of certificate of candidacy for the 2016 elections.

Pagdilao ordered deployment of policemen in Comelec Offices for the week-long filing of COC from October 12 to 16.

The Regional Director refused to give the exact number of policemen designated to secure the Comelec offices and their locations for operational matters.

According to Pagdilao, the policemen will not only ensure peace and order in Comelec office in Intramuros Manila but will also help in directing traffic in roads leading to the main Comelec office where candidates for president, vice president and senator will file their COCs.

The five districts of NCRPO assigned to assure security during COC filing is composed of Quezon City Police District , Manila Police District, Eastern Police District, Southern Police District and Northern Police District.
