MANILA, Philippines – An estimated 1,700 members of Iglesia Ni Cristo (INC) on Sunday gathered along Shaw Boulevard to show objection to the investigation of the Department of Justice into the alleged detention of some of the group's top officials.

Armed with rally paraphernalia such as placards, posters, Iglesia Ni Cristo members exercised their freedom of religion and staged a protest in the intersection of EDSA and Shaw Boulevard.

Aside from their appeal for fair process of the law, the INC members also cry for separation of Church and State.

On the third day of their protest in EDSA, INC members from Laguna, Batangas, Nueva Ecija, Oriental Mindoro and Maguindanao arrived to participate in the mass action.

According to reports as of this writing, the Ortigas flyover and Shaw service roads are fully closed due to the protest.
