MANILA, Philippines - The Philippines joined the world in welcoming the newest member of the Samsung Galaxy family, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

First unboxed in September during the IFA Consumer Electronics Fair in Berlin, Germany, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was officially launched in South Korea, followed by the UK, India, Singapore, Thailand, the US, Canada, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Indonesia and the Philippines. It will also be made available in South America and other countries sometime in November.

During its launch at the Mall of Asia Atrium yesterday, four lucky Samsung Galaxy Note 4 pre-registered buyers got the first dibs of Samsung Galaxy Note 4 for free.

Jessie Bulan, Ronald Guanzon, Andre Raymundo and Rodolfo Torres were the first four who joined the in-store and online pre-registration to be among the initial batch of owners of this smart phablet.

Ronald Guanzon said what made him decide to buy Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is its 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display and its Smart Select features (via S-Pen), which allows multi-tasking apps on a single screen.

Meanwhile, Jessie Bulan said he loves its fast charging and extended battery capabilities, enabling the phone to charge in 30 minutes and maximize 10 percent of battery life up to 24 hours under ultra power saving mode.

Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes in with 16-megapixel (MP) SMART OIS rear camera and a 3.7-MP front lens, which allows users to take up to 120 angle wide selfies.

During the kick-off sale, pre-registered buyers of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 were given as much as P8,000 discount while all walk-in buyers between 10 a.m. to noon got P4,000 unit discounts.

On top of the unit discounts, buyers during the launch and those who will be purchasing their Samsung Galaxy Note 4 today will enjoy a two-year extended warranty, three months free access to unlimited downloads of all Summit magazines through MZINE, free download of one full season of any TV show on Seasons, free 100 movies on ClickPlay and zero interest (18 months installment) when using any BPI or Citibank credit card.
