MANILA, Philippines - Where in the world is Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Director General Alan Purisima?
Purisima has been missing in action since last week even though the PNP was in the thick of preparations for the barangay election.
Deputy Director General Felipe Rojas Jr., PNP deputy chief for operations, led PNP officials in giving briefings to the media on Oct. 28.
Rojas is also commander of National Task Force-SAFE (Secure and Fair Elections) Alpha-2013.
When asked by The STAR on the whereabouts of Purisima on Monday, Rojas said the PNP chief was at national headquarters monitoring the situation nationwide.
Purisima was also nowhere to be seen yesterday during the overall assessment of the barangay elections presided over by Interior Secretary Manuel Roxas II.
