UNA hits Bam

TAGUM, Davao Del Norte, Philippines – The United Nationalist Alliance (UNA) yesterday chided Liberal Party (LP) senatorial candidate Bam Aquino for saying he was proud to have worked under the Arroyo administration.

UNA spokesman Toby Tiangco cited the political harassment of youth groups, media, and personalities like former President Cory Aquino during the time Bam served as chairman of the National Youth Commission (NYC).

“I wonder what is there to be proud of about serving a former president whom his cousin President Aquino continues to lambast as a crook and an election cheat, and who placed the country under de facto martial law,” Tiangco said.
