Palace mum on Noy's love life

-

MANILA, Philippines –  Malacañang is keeping mum on developments in President Aquino’s love life amid reports that he and his stylist Liz Uy have not started a romance despite having gone on several dates.

Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte said she could not comment on the personal and private life of the President, which she stressed should be respected.

GMANews.TV quoted the President as saying “sorry, we’re not showbiz” in a text message when asked about the issue.

Meantime, in a report on abs-cbnnews.com, Ballsy Aquino-Cruz, eldest sister of President Aquino, said she remains hopeful that her brother and Uy will continue to be friends even though they have reportedly stopped dating.

“She’s such a nice person, very nice. And even if they don’t end up together, I hope she remains close to our family, that she will continue to be the stylist of Kris and Noy,” she said, adding that she knows Uy to be a professional.

The report further said Cruz admitted it is only through the media that she gets updates on her brother’s love life, adding that the last time she was able to talk to the President was last Thursday before he left for Baguio City.

Cruz said she understands that her brother is taking care of a lot of things, which is why she does not ask him about matters of the heart.

Aquino earlier admitted he was dating Uy as he was pressed about it while attending the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation summit in Japan.

He said he had been seeing different people after his breakup with Valenzuela City Councilor Shalani Soledad in September.
