March 3, 2007 | 12:00am
Cebu Pacific completed yesterday its $670 million re-fleeting program with the arrival of a new Airbus A320 aircraft from Tolouse, France.
The airline now brags of having the world’s youngest fleet, which is less than 11 months old.
Candice Iyog, vice president for marketing and product, said the turnover of the new A320 was the 14th since the first delivery in May 2005.
She said the re-fleeting program will enable Cebu Pacific to maximize its use of aircraft and keep fares low.
With its 10 new A319s and four A320s, Cebu Pacific now has the most domestic destinations, routes, and flights in the local aviation industry, she added. – Michael Punongbayan
