Madrigal has a liability amounting to P3,945,410.
The same summary of the SAL for 2003 of the neophyte senators showed that Sen. Manuel Lapid is the poorest, with a total net worth of P9,684,662.
Lapid, however, is still more than P7 million richer than graduating senator, Senate President Pro Tempore Juan Flavier, who has a total net worth of P2,025,000.
Flavier in his 2003 SAL declared that his total net worth has increased from P1,179,176 in 2002 to P2,025,000 for the 2003 SAL, but he remained the poorest senator in the country.
Flavier also declared that he has P830,000 real properties; P1,585,000 personal and other assets or a total asset of 2,015,000 in 2002.
In his SAL for 2003, Flavier declared that his real properties remained at P840,000 while his personal and other assets is P1,585,000 or a total of P2,425,000.
Flaviers liabilities decreased from P835,824 in 2002 to P400,000 in 2003.
On the other hand, Lapid has P16,161,300 worth of real properties; P4,523,362 personal and other assets or a total asset of P20,684,662.
However, Lapid has liability amounting to P11,000,000.
On the other hand, administration Sen. Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr. is the second richest neophyte senator in the country with a total net worth of P102,317,000.
Revilla has P93,359,000 worth of real properties; P22,469,000 personal and other asset or a total asset of P115,828,000. He has a P13,511,000 liability.
Landing third in terms of wealth was Revillas best friend and God brother, Sen. Jose "Jinggoy" Estrada, who has a total net worth of P80,414,556.01.
Estrada, son of jailed former President Joseph Estrada who stands as the latters co-accused in plunder case being tried by the Sandiganbayan, has P67,929,736.09 worth of real properties; P14,084,819.75 worth of personal and other assets or a total of P82,014,555.84.
The younger Estrada has a liability of P1,599,999.83.
The neophyte senators who landed fourth to seventh in terms of wealth are Senators Pia Cayetano with P70,142,052.54 total net worth; senatorial topnotcher Manuel "Mar" Roxas II with a total net worth of P31,777,603.13; Richard Gordon with P23,684,991 total net worth; and Alfredo Lim with a total net worth of P10,550,207 with zero liability.
Sen. Manuel Villar Jr. remained the richest among the senators with a total net worth of P533.2 million in 2003 from P481,550,874 in 2002, with zero liabilities in both years.
