MANILA, Philippines — Song Joong-ki returns to being the tough guy after his hiatus in the Netflix fantasy series "Arthdal Chronicles" in 2019.
In the recently premiered "Vincenzo," Song Joongki is a Korean-Italian mafia lawyer who is out to exact vengeance on an erring conglomerate. Song Joong-ki needs no further introduction as one of the most popular Hallyu stars today. Everybody who is into K-drama knows he is the other famous Captain apart from Capt. Ri of "Crash Landing On You." He's the romantic Capt. Yoo Si-jin from the 2016 hit "Descendants of the Sun."
The tables are now turned with Joong-ki playing an anti-hero in the series. Jeon Yeo-been is a known gem in Korean cinema. A relative new comer who debuted in 2015, she fast gained a reputation as a promising actress with fine performances in movies and film. In 2018, she was named Actress of the Year at the 22nd Busan International Film Festival and earned the Independent Star Award at the 2017 Seoul Independent Film Festival for her performance in the mystery drama "After My Death."
In "Vincenzo", she reunites with her "Save Me" co-star Ok Taec-yeon. In her newest series, Jeon Yeo-been acts as lawyer Hong Cha-young who prides herself in her ability to win cases.
Ok Taec-yeon
Korea's favorite "model soldier" and "Captain Korea" stars in another thriller after "Save Me." A genre he is comfortable in like the fantasy thriller "Bring It On, Ghost," the 2PM boyband member and main rapper showcases a cuter side of himself through his character Jang Joon-woo in "Vincenzo." Jang Joon-woo is an intern lawyer who works with Hong Cha-young and has a huge crush on her. He’s a bit clumsy and ditzy, so there should be some funny and adorable moments to enjoy.
Kim Yeo-jin
She is among Korea's notable character actors with a filmography that includes works in film, TV and theater. Kim Yeo-jin has acted in titles popular to international K-drama fans like "Love in the Moonlight," "My Secret Terrius," "Itaewon Class" and "Extracurricular."
In the mafia thriler, Kim Yeo-jin portrays prosecutor turned lawyer Choi Myung-hee who ends up becoming a senior partner at the law firm Hong Cha-young works at. She’s not above breaking the law if it means she can achieve her goals.
Kwak Dong-yeon
K-dramaland's favorite and trusty buddy Kwak Dong-yeon is turning 360-degrees in "Vincenzo." If fans were gushing over him as their favorite swordsman in "Love in the Moonlight" or as the friendly and compassionate teaching assistant Yeon U-yeong in "My ID Is Gangnam Beauty," they'll be intrigued with him as Jang Han-seo, Babel Group’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO). The head of the conglomerate is infamous for being a bit crazy and obsessive with winning. He’ll do anything to get revenge and what he wants, even at the cost of someone’s life.
Cho Han-cheul
He is another one of Korea's seasoned character actor who has graced many notable films and TV series including the films "Along With the Gods: The Last 49 Days" and "Pandora" as well as series as the king in "100 Days My Prince" and as a sympathetic poetry-loving character from "Romance Is a Bonus Book."
In "Vincenzo," Cho Han-cheul is Han Seung-hyuk who is the head of the law firm Hong Cha-young works at. Having strong ties with the prosecution and the media, Han Seung-hyuk is accustomed to winning cases for his wealthy clients. He utilizes underhanded methods to turn people who oppose him into dust.
