$9 million deal for Harper Jr.

MANILA, Philippines — The Boston Celtics are re-signing Ron Harper Jr. to a new three-year, $9 million contract, ESPN reported Saturday.

The Celtics are declining the 26-year-old forward’s $2.6 million team option for 2026-27 to commit to the longer deal.

Harper averaged 4.2 points and 11.0 minutes in 29 games (three starts) in his first season with Boston in 2025-26.

He has averaged 3.7 points in 40 games (three starts) in parts of four NBA seasons with, Toronto, Detroit and Boston.
