MANILA, Philippines — Actress Yassi Pressman offered to cover the tuition for one year of an elementary student in Cebu who shares her name.
Yassi shared on her Instagram account a video during a recent visit to Cebu. She was in Carbon Market and was approached by a woman who told Yassi her daughter was named after the actress.
The woman went to get her daughter after Yassi asked to see a picture and the two Yassis met.

The actress embraced her namesake after reading her certificate from an elementary school, quipping the younger Yassi might have just woken up.
The younger Yassi is currently in Grade 1 so the actress told the mother, "Sige, sagot ko na 'yung Grade 2 niya," which elicited a yelp from the woman.
They snapped souvenir photos, with Yassi reiterating her promise to them.
"Unexpected special moments are simply the best. Salamat Carbon market, kay mommy at Baby Yassi for making our Cebu trip extra memorable," Yassi wrote in the video's caption.
