MANILA, Philippines — Singer-comedian Ogie Alcasid joined the euphoria over the win of Philippine bet Catriona Gray as Miss Universe 2018 and posted a photo of his transformation as the beauty queen.

On Tuesday, Alcasid posted on Instagram his photo all dolled up as Cartolina  Gray, a play on Catriona's name which sounds like the term for the colored paper used in craftwork.

His photo elicited laughs from fans.

"Hahaha. Kenkoy talaga ka talaga Sir Ogie. kumusta po si Songbird?" one comment read.

"Omgosh I died laughing just by reading cartolinagray out loud... lmao," another fan said.

He also posted a photo sans the wig with the hashtag #backtomydayjob. Alcasid is not new to portraying female characters since his "Bubble Gang" days and had even made famous a spoiled brat little girl character called Angelina.

The other Cartolina Gray

Alcasid, however, was not the first Cartolina Gray.

After Gray's win as Miss Universe Philippines in March this year, "Eat Bulaga" host Paolo Ballesteros, who gained notoriety for his make-up transformation videos, also posted on Instagram his take on the beauty queen as Cartolinang Gray.

Doppelganger?

A dead ringer for Gray, however, is child model Kendra Kramer and the latter's dad seems to agree.

Philippine Basketball Association star Doug Kramer said he has been getting messages nonstop from people congratulating his daughter for the Miss Universe win.

"Been getting tagged nonstop with photo collages and messages! And they've been congratulating Kendra! Hahaha!" he said in an Instagram post.

"Yeah, I actually see it. Kendra does look like Catriona a bit. The nose, shape of the face and eyebrows."

Kramer in his post also congratulated the Fil-Aussie beauty queen for bringing pride to the country and quipped that maybe Gray could teach her now-infamous "lava walk" to his daughters.

"I bet Scarlett and Kendra will start practicing the lava walk with the slow mo spin! Hope you can teach them one day!"
