MANILA, Philippines — Kapamilya actor Matteo Guidicelli has a new movie with Shaina Magdayao titled “Single/Single: Love Is Not Enough.”

The movie was a series back then, produced by Cinema One and The Philippine Star. It tackles the lifestyle of millennials.

During the movie’s press conference recently held in ABS-CBN, Matteo was asked what is his insight on pre-marital sex, which has been depicted in the series and now, in the movie.

“It is not a mistake because a baby is a blessing. No matter what it is, it’s a blessing, it’s a gift in life kumbaga and you have to cherish that. Again it is a choice. Everybody’s free so they can go where they wanna go ‘di ba? But again if somebody gives birth, if is a mistake, it is not a mistake, it’s a blessing,” the “Bagani” actor told the press.

The actor-singer-triathlete narrated that when he was in college in America, where abortion is legal, he had friends who experienced going to abortion clinics because they got pregnant.

“They told me ‘I formed a line, with girls crying, aborted or stuff.’ And for me, it was a red flag already,” Matteo shared.

“Today that I have a 10-year-old brother, it’s not just a red flag, it is disturbing. It was not even, it doesn’t make sense to my mind that how you gonna abort someone because it is a human being. It was worst than shooting at someone. It’s just like putting this metal thing inside the girl. It is just foul. If life is born, it’s a gift. It has to be cherished no matter what,” he stressed.

“Single/Single: Love Is Not Enough” is the continuation of the story of Joee (Shaina) and Joey (Matteo), after the series with the same title. Directed by Veronica “Ronnie” Velasco and Pablo Biglang-awa Jr., the movie is now showing on theaters nationwide.
