MANILA, Philippines — Two cops are competing in the 2018 Mister and Miss Republic of the Philippines pageant set for tonight at the grand ballroom of Sofitel Philippine Plaza. They are PO1 Norman Wileman (left) and PO1 Willy Quinto (right).
Said Wileman, ‘I want to help boost the morale of the Philippine National Police (PNP). Like any cop, I am tasked to protect the weak and defend the innocent.’
And Quinto, 2016 Gwapulis winner (on the ABS-CBN show Umagang Kay Ganda): ‘I want to show that even if we are in a tough profession, we also have a soft side. I want to help educate the youth about drug-abuse prevention.’
