But it must be said that Rosa is more than that. From big screen siren to great actress to social and civic worker, especially Red Cross.
Early in her career at LVN, Rosa played anti-heroine roles. And then she graduated giving great performances in films like Anak Dalita, Badjao, Biyaya ng Lupa and Sakada.
She was honored many times for her socio-civic activities, culminating in the coveted Magsaysay Award (for public service), the Asian equivalent of the Nobel Prize. To date, Rosa is the only actor to be so honored.
