MANILA, Philippines - Wish 107.5 pays homage to the best and finest performances in the Philippine music industry on its first-ever Wish 107.5 Music Awards: The Coolest Musical Experience on Jan. 26, 7:30 p.m. at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
The awards has 19 categories whose winners will be determined via an online poll vis-à-vis a set of judges from different fields of expertise.
Among the nominees are Darren Espanto, who has six major nominations including Wish Young Artist of the Year; Janella Salvador for Wish Young Artist of the Year; and Mitoy Yonting and Gloc-9, who are nominated in the Wish Male Artist of the Year category, among others.
Wish Promising Artist nominations include 5th Gen, Gwenyth Dorado, Jensen & The Flips, Lunar Lights, Shanne Velasco and The Voysing.
The station supports Filipino talents by serving as an avenue for local performers to launch their music via the Wish 107.5 Bus, the first FM-on-wheels in the country that is fully-equipped with advanced broadcast facilities that could provide ticketless live road concerts and performances.
The Wish 107.5 Bus has been visiting different universities, starting with the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) last Jan. 18 to gather votes.
