One of the favorite cover girls of Ilang-Ilang in the late ’40s was LVN contract star Norma Blancaflor, she with the lovely heart-shaped and demure face. Ilang-Ilang, a magazine of general interest, featured actually on its cover the starrers of Norma, opposite top leading men.
Ely Ramos, the De La Rosa brothers, Rogelio and Jaime, Tony Arnaldo, who was the husband of prolific director-novelist Susana de Guzman.
In a test conducted by Ansco Technicians for LVN, Norma got a perfect score for complexion and compatibility in color films.
LVN gave Norma varied roles: Heavy and melodramas, romance-comedy, costume pictures — all of which captured her lovely face. —RKC
