MANILA, Philippines - Actor Baron Geisler only sustained minor injuries on Tuesday after a truck slammed into the side of his sports utility vehicle in Pasig City.
Police report showed that Geisler, of 99 E. Marlboro St., Cast Fairview, Quezon City, was on board his Toyota Fortuner and was making a U-turn along Imelda Avenue, Karangalan Village, Gate 3, Barangay Manggahan around 3:30 a.m. when a FUSO truck (RJA-151) hit the right side of the vehicle.
The impact of the truck, driven by Exvedyl Bayo, damaged the Fortuner's front bumper right rear door up to front side portion of the vehicle, the report said.
Pasig police chief Jose Hidalgo Jr. said Bayo later told investigators that he did not side Geisler's vehicle in his side mirror.
Hidalgo said that Geisler and Bayo were not under the influence of liquor when the accident happened.
The two men were brought to the police station where they settled the case amicably.
Meanwhile, the actor took to social media to share his account of the accident.
In an Instagram post, Geisler said he "suffered no injuries" from the road mishap.
