MANILA, Philippines – Eleven-year-old Elha Nympha turned emotional when she was declared winner of the second season of ABS-CBN’s “The Voice Kids” on Sunday.

The “Biriterang Banana Cue Vendor ng Quezon City” won against three other contestants for the title. Elha’s victory also serves as her coach Bamboo Manalac’s first win on “The Voice.”

“I’ve always thought she (Elha) deserves this,” Bamboo told reporters after the finale. “I thought she was the most consistent, the most natural performer. We have somebody really special now.”

“Her life is gonna change on her own merit on what God has given her,” he added. 

“Hindi ko po inexpect na mananalo ako,” Elha said. “Tapos po, sobrang saya ko po talaga kasi unang beses ko pong manalo sa ganitong competition.”
