MANILA, Philippines - After getting seven nominations at the 7th International Filmmaker Festival of World Cinema in London, Louie Ignacio’s Asintado (Between The Eyes), starring Aiko Melendez and Jake Vargas (photo), will compete for the Golden Cairo, Silver Cairo and Bronze Cairo awards at the 22nd Cairo International Cinema & Arts Festival for Children in Egypt, with 29 other countries participating. Then, on March 21, it will have its US premiere in Long Island, New York City, during the 5th Queens World Film Festival.
