MANILA, Philippines- He may be portraying bad boy roles, but Bret Jackson is far from being a bad boy in real life.

In an interview with philstar.com, Bret reveals that he's a shy guy in person, and sees himself somewhere in the middle of being an introvert and an extrovert.

“I consider myself friendly din, hindi ako plastic. Parang some days hindi ako magsalita, some days daldal ako,” he said describing himself.

One of the people who understands his personality is Andi Eigenmann, who is his friend and the apple of his eye.

Their relationship has been the talk of the town, especially after Andi's ex-boyfriend Jake Ejercito was linked to a new girl. Bret is one of the people who Andi said has been there to support her.

Some would doubt his intentions, especially after Andi has turned him down a few months back and they're starring in a film together, “Your Place or Mine.” The criticisms, however, don't affect him at all.

“I'm very vocal with my feelings about Andi, I have nothing to hide naman. If I like someone, I like someone. I really like Andi, I really care about her, her family, her daughter,” he explained.

He also acknowledged some people's assumptions that he's just using the actress as passage to fame, but he tells them that “same management kami and Boss Vic [del Rosario] is going to give me my own movie anyway, not with Andi.”

Bret admits that handling criticisms is not easy, yet he understands that “it comes with the job. Like you're in showbiz, you have to take it. Take the good with the bad. At the end of the day I know who I am, I know who Andi is, I know the truth in everything. So say what you want to say.”

Meanwhile, Bret will be starring in a TV5 show together with Eula Caballero, the “Wattpad Presents: Trip in Love or Fall in Love.”
