Jed is 2014 Aliw Awards Entertainer of the Year

MANILA, Philippines - For the first time, Jed Madela has won the highest award given by the Aliw Awards Foundation: Entertainer of the Year 2014.

Madela joins Pilita Corrales, Dulce, Lisa Macuja-Elizalde, Rico J. Puno, Celeste Legaspi, Basil Valdez, Nonoy  Zuñiga, Lea Salonga, Kuh Ledesma, Martin Nievera, Gary Valenciano, Ogie Alcasid, Freddie Aguilar, Regine Velasquez, Lani Misalucha, Bert Marcelo, Tessie Tomas, Sarah Geronimo and Charice in the roster of  Entertainers of the Year  from 1977 to 2014.

The star-studded awards night, held at Resorts World Manila last Dec. 1, was produced by Jumpin’ Events Management. The rites will be aired on Jan. 4, 2015 on ABS-CBN.

The Lifetime Achievement awards were given to Baby Barredo, Boy Abunda, John Lesaca and Lea Salonga.
