MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines' bet Valerie Weigmann is set to fly to London on Wednesday less than a month before the Miss World 2014 pageant night.
The early trip would be for various activities preparation and for the big night scheduled on December 14 at ExCel London Exhibition and Convention Centre.
In an interview aired on GMA Network's "24 Oras" on Tuesday, Valerie said she is excited "to know all the contestants, one by one."
"Kasi ako excited ako to hear their stories, where they grew up, [and] same thing like really get to know them," she said.

The Filipino beauty went through rigorous training in Manila and was able to meet reigning Miss World Megan Young in one of the sessions.
Valerie said she has learned a lot from Megan, who advised her to "be who you are."
"Be yourself, that's really the key, and enjoy it. Be excited for everything that’s going to be happening in London," Valerie quoted Megan as saying.
