Cherie Gil turns emotional in a tribute for Mark Gil

MANILA, Philippines- Cherie Gil got emotional in a tribute given by College of Saint Benilde to her brother Mark Gil.

The actor died on September 1 due to liver cirrhosis.

While giving her speech at the event, Cherie was seen crying while holding a plaque given in memory of her brother.

In an interview with “TV Patrol” aired on Tuesday, the veteran actress said he misses her brother a lot.

“[He is] my partner in crime, my partner in good, bad and everything else,” she said about Mark Gil. “I adore him, I idolize him. [He is] the most loyal, the most dedicated actor that has ever been.”

Meanwhile, some celebrities also graced the event including Tessie Tomas, Bembol Roco, and Epi Quizon, and shared some of their fondest memories of Mark Gil.

TESSIE TOMAS: First kissing scene ko, pero type ko na rin kasi si Mark Gil ‘yan. From then on ginawa niyang joke ‘yon. Sasabihin niya, ‘di ba, Tessie, I’m a good kisser?’

BEMBOL ROCO: Sobra talagang lungkot. Para akong nawalan ng kapatid.
