GMA-7's 'My Husband's Lover' gets International Emmy nod

MANILA, Philippines – GMA-7's 2013 soap opera “My Husband's Lover” received a nomination in the 42nd International Emmy Awards.

The gay-themed series, which starred Dennis Trillo, Tom Rodriguez, and Carla Abellana, is nominated in the Telenovela category of the international award-giving body.

The TV show will compete with Canada's “30 Lives: Maxim Bouchard (30 Vies),” Portugal's “Belmonte,” and Brazil's “Precious Pearl” for the award. 

“My Husband's Lover” is about Lally (Abellana) who discovered her husband Vincent (Rodriguez) is having an affair with Eric (Trillo). The show ran from June to October last year. 

The winners of the 42nd International Emmy Awards will be announced on November 24 in New York City.
