MasterChef, Resurrection premiere on Lifetime

MANILA, Philippines - Televiewers are in for an exhilarating TV night tomorrow, Sept. 29, as Lifetime airs the new season premieres of Resurrection and MasterChef Australia.

In its sixth season, MasterChef Australia airs at 7 p.m. (with replays at 11 p.m. and Mondays to Fridays thereafter) and welcomes its most talented batch of home cooks with tougher challenges, more interesting twists and bigger prizes. Thousands tried to cook their way into Australia’s most prestigious culinary challenge but only 24 were chosen to enter the doors of the Melbourne kitchen. With each contestant’s unique kitchen tricks and deep passion for food, who will walk away with the culinary crown?

Watch judges Gary Mehigan, George Calombaris, and Matt Preston as they teach the contestants and taste their way towards determining this season’s victor. Celebrated Sydney-based chef Kylie Kwong also joins the show as regular guest mentor.

Not only does the new season promise more surprises in every episode, it will also hand out the biggest prizes in MasterChef Australia’s history — $250,000 cash, a Hardie Grant cookbook publishing deal, work experience in Australia’s most coveted kitchens and a car.

Meanwhile, get ready for another round of thrill and mystery as the quest continues to find out why the townspeople’s loved ones suddenly come back to life and return to their families in Resurrection at 10 p.m., same day as its US telecast.

The show’s second season opens with Martin Bellamy, lead investigator of Arcadia’s mystery, waking up alone and abandoned in the town’s outskirts. With a week’s worth of his memory gone, he works to figure out what he missed and faces a shocking revelation in the process.
