MANILA, Philippines – Ruffa Gutierrez said she wished for positivity as she celebrated her birthday on June 24.

“Wala nang away-away, wala nang gulo-gulo, positive na ang lahat,” she told members of the press when asked for her birthday wish during a media gathering recently.

Her mother Annabelle Rama is currently embroiled in a rift with Esther Lahbati, the mother of actress Sarah Lahbati, after the birthday party of baby Zion.

Zion is the first-born child of Annabelle's son Richard Gutierrez  with Sarah.

The 40-year-old actress said she hopes the rift gets settled soon. “I hope positivity will rule. Hindi naman lahat ng pamilya, perfect,” she said.

Ruffa added, “There are families that really go through disagreements, miscommunication. Our family is no different. Just because we're celebrities, it doesn't mean we don't have any problems in life.”

She also hopes Esther would stop airing her frustrations against the Gutierrez family on social media.

“Hopefully, before the issue gets bigger, it will just die a natural death,” she said.

Ruffa is happy for the unprecedented success of their family reality show “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez,” which is locally aired on the entertainment cable channel E!

The show will also be aired on TV5 starting this July.

“Marami pa kaming bigas na kakainin para maging kasing successful ng Kardashians on a global basis,” Ruffa said on viewers comparing their show to the reality show “Keeping Up With The Kardashians.” “The Kardashians have made their mark. Everybody knows them. Everybody watches them. So whether you hate them or you love them, they're still there and they're around.”

“But at the end of the day, our family's different. We have different problems. We're unique in our special way. Syempre andyan pa rin yung Filipino and Asian values natin,” she said.

Ruffa revealed they are already in talks for the second season of 'It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez,” which they hope to air third quarter of this year.
