Sexiest Woman Alive

In a field crowded with beautiful faces and beautiful bodies, it can be a Herculean task not only to stay fit and fabulous but also, more so, to shine.

Marian Rivera has managed to do that through the years. A few months ago, she was named Sexiest Woman by FHM magazine’s annual selection, No. 1 among one hundred, her second time to clinch the honor.

So who says that lightning doesn’t strike twice?

Back in 2009, Marian topped a shortlist of possible Calendar Girls of Ginebra San Miguel (GSM). She has just bagged the same honor for Year 2014, to be released in time for the 180th anniversary of the brand.

As you can see in the pictures on this page, Marian has it all, with the word SEX oozing from every inch of her body. The pictorial was shot on location in Batangas, Boracay and Palawan by ace photographer Marc Nicdao, with stylist Liz Uy making Marian even more beautiful than she already is.

“I feel honored and blessed to be a GSM Calendar Girl again,” said Marian. “This time, I am more confident in the pictorial. I’m also proud that all the layouts were tastefully done.”

No objection at all from her boyfriend, Dingdong Dantes, who must be even more proud to have The Sexiest all his own.

“I showed Dong my pictures before the final copies were chosen,” assured Marian.

GSM vice president and marketing manager Nelson Elises said, “Marian is a big star and we want to celebrate our 180th anniversary in a big way…with a band. She exudes sensuality and the confidence of the ideal GSM Calendar Girl. We are so happy to have her onboard.”

A Leo (Aug. 12, 1984), Marian stands 5’4”; weighs 95 lbs.; and wears XS underwear, 34B bra, small-size shirt and size-7 shoes.

How did she get her kind of body and how does she maintain it?

Easy does it…if you are Marian Rivera!

How does it feel to be the GSM Calendar Girl for the second time?

“I am very much flattered. It is prestigious to be Ginebra San Miguel’s Calendar Girl. But to be part of it for the second time, I am doubly flattered. I am a proud kalahi.”

How did you prepare for the shoot?

“I got so excited preparing for the GSM that I did rigorous exercise and went on a proper diet. I am a perfectionist and I want the outcome of the shoot to be flawless.”

Any beauty regimen of your own?

“I moisturize and drink lots of liquid. I just make sure that my face is free of makeup before I hit the bed — thorough cleaning of face and I moisturize. I am also big on lip balm. My water intake is a lot: Three 1.5 liters spread out within the day.”

What kind of diet do you have?

“I don’t usually go on a diet. Hahahaha! I love rice. I love vegetables. I eat almost anything — in moderation! I am not pihikan.”

Anything?

“Yes! I am adventurous when it comes to food. There is nothing wrong in trying anything once, right? The weirdest I had was crocodile in Cambodia. Hmmm, not good. It was awful.” (Squirms as she tries to recall the taste)

Any snacks between meals?

“I have a weakness for chocolates. As soon as I wake up, I eat chocolates. I have a bedside stash. And then, I try to be healthy once in a while”…(Laughs)…”So I eat fruits.”

What vitamins do you take?

“Just vitamin C.”

What workout do you do?

“I used to do a combat sport, Muay Thai. And then I got hooked on Zumba. Recently, running. I’ve been joining marathons whenever my schedule permits.”

What part of your body needs improvement?

“I am already satisfied with my body. I am just maintaining what was given to me with the right food and workout.”

What part of your body is your favorite?

“My back…you know that smooth curve from my lower back. I think that’s very sexy.”

What part of a man’s body do you notice first?

“Shoulders!” (Squeals!) “A man with broad shoulders gives off that matipuno impression.”

What else in a man turns you on?

“Sense of humor. I should be able to laugh with him. Confident. He should have that cool, calm and collected air. I don’t mind at all if the guy is mayabang.”

And what’s in a man that turns you off?

“Major turnoff would be if he’s not hygienic. He has to be clean and should smell really good. Clean hands and clean nails are a must.”

How’s your love life?

(Smiles) “Our relationship gets better and happier as we go along.”

Do you have a nightlife?

“I’m a homebody. It’s rare that I go out. And when I do go out, it’s with friends. I am happy with just being home.”

How much sleep do you get per night?

“With the type of work I have, I am lucky to have two to three hours of sleep.”

Favorite sleepwear?

“I like being comfortable. On hot days, it’s a toss between nighties, shorts and tank tops. Now that it’s the cold part of the year, I sleep in my pajamas.”

Do you snore?

“No.”

Do you talk in your sleep?

“No.”

Do you sleepwalk?

“No.”

How many pillows do you sleep with?

“Three. One on each side. And I sleep in fetal position. I am a pillow hugger. Hahahaha!”

Last thing that you do before you go to sleep?

“I always end my day with a simple thank-you prayer.”

First thing that you do as soon as you wake up?

“I reach for my cellphone and check Instagram. I am recently crazy about it.”

How do you unwind, cope with stress?

“During downtime, I paint with oil. I also love to cook. My favorite dishes to prepare are Filipino and Spanish. I also watch cartoons. They are my stress-relievers.”

Favorite city/places?

“I have a lot. Can I just name the Top 5? Hahahaha! It’s so hard to have a favorite, eh. Madrid, Paris, Bali, Amanpulo, Bali and Tokyo (because of the food!).”

Favorite hideaway?

“My home is my sanctuary.”

How long does it take you to fix yourself?

“Very long, about two hours and then travel time. I don’t want to be rushed.”

Are you vain like most good-looking women?

“Yes. Hahahaha! I appreciate beauty and neatness, not only for myself but for the things around me as well. I see beauty in order…so if I am not put together, then I do not feel confident. My vanity and orderliness give me my confidence.”

Name three men that you think have nice bodies.

“Three?! Pwede ba one na lang? Si Dingdong.” (Breaks into a sweet smile). “Okay, make it two — Channing Tatum!”

And three women that you think have nice bodies.

“Just one, Beyoncé.”

Using only body language, how would you make a guy know that you admire him?

“I am quite the opposite. I tend to get shy so I end up ignoring the guy when I am attracted to him. And then they misinterpret it as being suplada.”
