MANILA, Philippines - Many years ago, Nanette Inventor originated the iconic role of Donya Buding making her one of the premiere comediennes of the country. Recently, the actress returns onstage with Naughty Nanette Now, featuring her impersonation of “pork barrel†queen Nanet Nafoolish.
Performed at the KPub BBQ Meat-All-You-Can at the Fort Wednesdays, Nanette’s new show was received by the audience. In fact, the first three shows had all been sold-out with audiences cheering hard for the comedienne at the end of the skit.
“It is so nice to see Nanette in this particular assignment in an environment where we all loved her — onstage,†says director Audie Gemora. “She belongs to the stage and Nanet Nafoolish is that reminder that she continues to be one of the best.â€
Aside from Nanet Nafoolish, Nanette also comes out as Madam Lucky Chan. Expect more surprises in the upcoming Nanette Inventor shows at KPub.
Naughty Nanette Now is on at KPUB BBQ Meat-All-You-Can tomorrow, Nov. 6 and on Nov. 13. Show starts at 9 p.m.
