MANILA, Philippines – Actress Sunshine Cruz would want to make a formal and legal separation of her marriage with Cesar Montano.

The Kapamilya actress already has a plan but couldn’t discuss it yet, Philippine Entertainment Portal reported today, Oct. 9.

Sunshine and Cesar separated January this year due to the latter’s alleged affair with Krista Miller.

“Mas maganda nga na siya ang mag-file para hindi na ako gagastos!” she said jokingly.

The two are still not in speaking terms ever since their court battles. Sunshine filed two complaints against her ex-husband. First is the violation of Anti-Violence Against Women and their Children last August, after Cesar allegedly sexually abused her.

Together with this is the habeas corpus petition filed by Sunshine for the custody of her three children, who are still with Cesar.

The actress stressed that if she had her way, she would want to settle things privately. Yet, “I had to do what I had to do.

“Kasi, nami-miss ko na yung mga anak ko. Magti-three weeks halos na hindi ipinakita sa akin. Kaya lang ako napilitang gumawa ng ganito,” said Sunshine.

“Pero kung maaari nga lang na ayusin nang tahimik. E, alam niyo naman ako, hangga’t maaari, gusto ko, tahimik na lang nga sana,” she added.

Meanwhile, Sunshine denies that she’s back to the dating game.

She says there are other things on the top of her priorities at the moment.

“Mga anak ko, ililipat ko kasi sila ng eskuwelahan. Lilipat ako ng bahay next year, so doon muna ako naka-focus.”

Add to that as well the good showbiz career that she has now: being part of the afternoon drama series “Dugong Buhay,” and the early primetime drama series “Galema.”

“Yung love life, ano, e, darating naman ‘yan sa tamang panahon,” she said. "Kapag ibinigay sa ‘yo, ibinigay. Kapag hindi, okay lang. "Wala namang problema. Darating ‘yan kung ibibigay ng Diyos sa atin.

"Kung hindi, okay lang. I have my three beautiful children who love me unconditionally. Doon tayo naka-focus talaga,” Sunshine added.

Though she doesn’t see herself growing old alone, Sunshine believes that these new opportunities coming her way inspire and encourage her to move forward.

“I don’t think I can still go back to showbiz because I feel old and I feel I’m already ugly. Ang dami nang magaganda riyan, magagaling. So, nandoon yung wala akong confidence,” she said. "And sa awa ng Diyos, ibinigay sa akin ng Diyos, inaayos ng Diyos ang buhay ko talaga.”

“From the projects, from my kids, and from my friends I’m knowing right now, and for people trusting me, I couldn’t ask for more.”
