One for Guinness Book of Records

MANILA, Philippines - Senatorial aspirant and outgoing mayor of Puerto Princesa City Edward Hagedorn was feted May 8 with the world’s tallest trophy standing at 30 ft. (9.14 meters) dwarfing the Guinness World of Book Records title holder, the Marquette Informal Longboarding Foundation trophy of the USA measuring 22 feet and 6.5 inches only, by the Puerto Princesa Peoples Congress as a symbol of his exemplary leadership and extraordinary service to the city.

The trophy was conceived by lawyer Allan Carlos in collaboration with the Palawan Chamber of Commerce and Industry, United Architects of the Philippines — Palawan Chapter, Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers, the Rotary Club of Puerto Princesa — Central, Palawan Filipino Chamber of Commerce, Palawan Bankers Association, Philippine Dental Association — Palawan Chapter and the Palawan Coast Guard Auxiliary.
