Meaning of life issue on Esquire Phl

MANILA, Philippines - The latest issue of Esquire Philippines themed as the Meaning of Life issue features its second annual anthology of hard-won wisdom, useful advice and true stories, featuring 11 extraordinary lives.

The second Meaning of Life roster features Brillante Mendoza, Carsten Stormer, Cecile Mauricio, Sigfrid Fortun, Jo-Ann Maglipon, Marites Vitug, Maurice Arcache, Mikey Amistoso, Myrza Sison, Ricky Carandang and the late Jesse Robredo.

It takes the brash and brilliant, heroic and high-minded, distinctive and devious to make up a Meaning of Life roster. What these people have in common is that they have lived their lives in ways that make them privy to certain invaluable insights, and that they have the facility and generosity to share these perceptions with us.

Headlining Esquire’s Meaning of Life issue is Juan Ponce Enrile, the iconic figure that contributed in shaping our country’s history, known for many roles he played — from martial law administrator to EDSA revolution savior, the “best president we never had” to “enemy of the state,” and more. Writers Lisa Guerrero Nakpil and Esquire writer-at-large Patricia Evangelista tackle his story and the controversy of the 1972 ambush of Enrile’s car that precipitated the declaration of martial law.

Esquire Philippines is available in newsstands, bookstores and supermarkets nationwide for P195. For details, visit www.esquiremagazine.ph.
