Lion Dance at Little Asia's Chinese New Year event

MANILA, Philippines - As its annual tradition, Little Asia held a lion dance to welcome the Chinese New Year (of The Rabbit) last February. Among those who joined in the revelry were (from left) Vike Llave, Betty Llave, Charlynn Lim, Charlson Lim, May-May Yap, Yanna Yap, Marge Gutierrez, Charlemagne Lim and Teresita Lim. Charlemagne and siblings Charlynn and Charlson own and manage Little Asia.

For this year’s graduates, the Lim matriarch created a special dish that’s not on the menu yet but customers can order it already. It’s called Mixed Seafood in Clay Pot (Fish fillet, squid, shrimp, fishballs, tofu and crabsticks mixed with vegetables simmered in whole garlic and onion leeks).

“Since it’s summer,” said Charlemagne, “we concocted a dessert and a special drink, Mango Sago (Fresh mangoes and sago pearls with a hint of coconut milk). I guarantee you it’s not the typical Mango Sago that you eat in the Chinese restaurants. Also a must-try is our fresh Blueberry Banana Shake, it’s my favorite shake on our menu.”

Little Asia has also been catering to Eton Properties almost every week.

Added Charlemagne, “we catered their events at 68 Roces in QC, 8 Adriatico in Malate, Eton Baypark in Manila, and in Chino Roces corner Malugay in Makati.”

Little Asia has three branches (Tomas Morato, Quezon City; Promenade Greenhills, San Juan City; and Venice Piazza, McKinley Hill, Taguig City).
