MANILA, Philippines - The second Philippine International Art Fair-ManilART 10 will host an exclusive gala preview opening on July 29, 6 p.m. at the Hall 4 of the SMX Convention Center with prima ballerina Lisa Macuja-Elizalde (photo) as lead performer. Lisa together with Ballet Manila will render her latest opus Fire, a visually inspiring dance specially prepared for ManilART 10.
The strictly-by-invitation-only affair promises not only to deliver the best in the country’s visual arts but world-class performances from the country’s brightest stars as well.
Also slated to take center stage is alternative music diva Grace Nono and her Tao Music group. To cap the night off with some global house music is DJ Christina Badkiss of M Café fame.
Patricia Bermudez-Hizon will host the event with chef Stepanie Zubiri of Epicurous providing the evening’s sumptuous dinner. The newly-opened Bordeaux wine specialist Wine Story will serve its collection of fine wines for the guests.
ManilART 10 boasts of 1,000 art works by some 400 visual artists and participated in by 60 of the country’s most prestigious art galleries. It will open to the public on July 30 until Aug. 1.
