The Eat, Bulaga! group led by Sen. Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto and Joey de Leon went on live telecast in Abu Dhabi’s National Theater before a crowd of OFWs coming from all over the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Dubai, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al-Khaimah, Sharjah and Umm Al-Quwain. The National Theater, which has only a seating capacity of 2,500, was filled to the rafters as an estimated crowd of 3,500 came to watch the GMA 7 show.
The Abu Dhabi episode, which was aired last Dec. 29 on GMA 7, featured the ensemble of Eat, Bulaga!.
The daily show is the No. 1 noontime show in Philippine TV today and holds the incomparable record of being the longest running show in the country’s broadcasting history with more than 25 years of presence in the Pinoy’s lunch table since its first broadcast in 1979 on RPN 9.
The enthusiastic crowds greeted the Eat, Bulaga! stars like the EB Babes, Pauleen Luna, Julia Clarete, Allan K, Francis M., Jose Manalo and Wally Bayola during the live performance in Abu Dhabi.
As part of Eat, Bulaga!’s international branding strategy, TAPE, Inc., producer of the show, has recently launched its independent website on-line making its program highlights and segments available 24 hours a day to Pinoys worldwide.
