That’s what happened to Kuh Ledesma when she flew to the States after her concert (Kuh Sings Streisand) at the Manila Hotel – she became an open target for a new round of gossip about not only her Manila Hotel concert but her private life as well.
You know: That she and husband Louie Gonzales have again broken up due to yet another "third party." Having just healed the wounds (thanks to their both turning to The Lord) sustained during their marital troubles (yeah, plural), Kuh has opted to remain mum on the matter, refusing to make any comment but letting the serene aura about her speak for her.
The other rumor was that her Manila Hotel show was a "flop" and, at the last minute, they had to give away tickets to fill up the venue. Kuh, of course, doesn’t have to dignify this rumor with any comment. Proof that that show was a success is the "repeat" scheduled on Aug. 24 and 25, titled Kuh Sings Streisand Part II, at the Music Museum, with her daughter Isabella as guest performer.
Also joining Kuh are Chad Borja and a special female guest whose identity Kuh is keeping under wraps. Both Chad and the unnamed female guest will perform solo numbers as well as duets with the pop diva. Previously, Kuh guested good friend Regine Velasquez in her Streisand concerts where the two divas did a duet of Tell Him and A House Is Not A Home. Who will the special guest be this time?
Although many people are calling her Music Museum stint a "repeat" of her Manila Hotel dinner-concert, Kuh explains that this will be an entirely different show. For one thing, she says, there will be new songs that were not even performed at the Manila Hotel. And being a smaller, more intimate venue, the Music Museum will lend just the right touch to Streisand’s songs. "It will be an evening for true-blue Streisand fans to remember," promises Kuh, who is an avowed Streisand fan herself.

Somebody close to singer "R" informed Funfare that singer "R" has been separated from his wife for more than a year now and that his three children (the eldest is 19 and now in college) chose to stay with him.
Singer "M" is not married but she’s going steady with somebody else.
The Funfare informer surmised that the (suspicious?) closeness of singers "R" and "M" must have made people conclude that something deeper than friendship is going between them. For a while, the informer added, "People in the (music) industry thought that ‘R’ and ‘M’ were on a ‘package deal’ basis because when promoters hired ‘R’, it was automatic that ‘M’ would be hired along with him. It was cheaper to hire both of them than just getting one of them, thus the perceived ‘package deal’."
Told about this development, the Funfare DPA who suspected (like many others) that singers "R" and "M" are more than just friends simply broke into a quiet I-know-better smile.

You see, Funfare’s Bohol Avenue DPA said that there’s a plan to move Kris Aquino’s Kris & Tell afternoon show to the timeslot now occupied by Talk TV which will be moved 30 minutes earlier to 10 a.m. That is, in anticipation of the Janice-Gelli show. Instead of again tampering with its present programming and thus disorienting/dislocating the televiewers, ABS-CBN should adopt a wait-and-see attitude and, so to speak, cross the bridge when it gets there.
"Talk TV is doing very well on its timeslot," added the well-connected DPA. "Its ratings are going up, its commercial load more than enough. So, if it ain’t broke, why fix it?"
Yeah, why spoil a good thing that’s going well?
