UP to hold speech workshops

MANILA, Philippines — The University of the Philippines is slated to organize a series of speech workshops next month.

The SpeakUP Speech Summer Workshop will be facilitated by faculty members of the UP Department of Speech and Theatre Arts and will be held at the university’s flagship campus in Diliman, Quezon City.

Four programs will be available this summer: storytelling and performance of poetry for kids, speech writing and public speaking for teens, presentation skills for professionals and advanced voice workshop for performers and public speakers. The first three programs will have two-hour sessions daily from May 7 to 18 (except weekends), while the advanced voice workshop will have six two-hour sessions held every Friday and Sunday starting May 9.

Registration fee, which includes workshop kit and certificate, is P6,000 for speech workshop for kids and teens, P7,000 for professionals and P8,000 for advanced voice workshops.

Early bird discounts will be provided until April 13.
