Manayon retains title in Crimzone Cup
CEBU, Philippines — Omega Tri Team’s Andrea Karen Manayon succesfully retained her women’s crown in the 2nd Crimzone Cup at Crimson Resort and Spa in Lapu-Lapu City yesterday.
Manayon topped her division after reaching the finish line in 23 minutes.
Melissa Orvin clinched the second spot with a time of 27:55, while Hazel Vega wound up third with a time of 42:05.
In the men’s side, Akio Habana grabbed the men’s title with a time of 21:12. He outpaced Eduard Russel So (22:06), while Vincent Paolo Sybico landed at third with a time of 25:07.
Two other Go-For-Gold-TLTG bets also won their respective classes with Cedrick Gloriba winning the 6-under division in 5:09 over Hydro Immersion Swim team’s Glad Kornelius Romaguera who finished in 7:02.
Miro Habana and Franco Gloriba, for their part, had a 1-2 finish in the boys’ 9-10 divisions with Habana posting 8:12 and Gloriba in 9:15 as Hydro Immersion’s Keane Lyle Pimentel got the bronze in 10:20.
Louis Simon Ramos, however, prevented TLTG’s Raid Habana from duplicating his brother’s winning formula after outsmarting him in the boy’s 7-8 class top spot with Ramos finishing off in 5:48 as against Habana’s 6:03 while teammate Matt Arden Impas ended third in 6:24 clocking.
Hydro Immersion also reigned in two other class with the Alivia sisters Jhan Jaidah and Julianna Marie coming up with a 1-2 finish in the girls’ 11-12 class with the younger Jhan Jaidah on top with 14:37 and trailed by Julianna Marie with 14:50.
